Startup World in Brazil – Insights and Numbers

According to Wikipedia, a Startup company or Startup is a company, a partnership or temporary organization designed to search for a repeatable and scalable business model. These companies, generally newly created, are in a phase of development and research for markets.

Accordingly to an interview with Mr. Igor Mascarenhas, an angel investor and collaborator in the Startup Brasil program, “Brazil is a giant market and already a hub for many sectors in South America. The country is changing very fast and attracts more and more foreign investment. I don’t see why we wouldn’t become a tech hub, even in the next two years. There is certainly a potential for that.”
